Commercial intruder alarms are mostly monitored alarms and some are monitored by BT RedCare, all installations comply with PD662 the new European regulations. The systems are mostly made up of movement sensors and magnetic reed contacts. We are a NACOSS Gold accredited company. BT RedCare/GSM

This is a service provided by BT and is a very sophisticated type of signalling. It is however the most expensive type as well. This type of signalling will provide protection to your BT line, in the event of the telephone line being cut or failing the system is still able to signal. A check on your postcode is required to check availability. This is necessary as it is not available on older exchanges. Please contact our office for prices of this service.

Response and Monitoring

Your intruder alarm or fire alarm can be a monitored alarm, whereby when the system is activated the police or fire brigade would be called. With this type of system you set and unset the system with a key fob rather than a code. If you have panic alarms on your system they would be policed as soon as they have been pressed. With a monitored system you have to have a maintenance contract, which is a police requirement. Our maintenance contract is one charge for the response and monitoring, two service visits and cover for equipment. The only time we would charge would be for something that was caused not through normal wear and tear. Please contact our office for prices of this service. Our alarm receiving centre that we use for all our monitored systems is Southern Monitoring Services Ltd in Portsmouth. They deal solely with the monitoring of your alarm, contact nominated keyholders and the Police.

Maintenance

We can take over other alarm companies systems. We would carry out an initial visit and then cover the system. The type and age of the system would depend on price and whether we can cover it parts and labour. If you are interested in us taking over a monitored system then we have to pay a nominal fee to the police to transfer the Unique Reference Number to us. Please contact us for any price requirements.
